ACTOR PREP
Actors need to prepare for their headshot session. Things to know in advance:
- An actor's headshot is NOT a glamour shot!
- Your headshots are meant to represent the types of roles you play. Are you a detective, girl next door, trailer trash?
- Consider the wardrobe and makeup (or lack of) choices for each. Layers add depth.
- Create a story for each character: Detective, have you cracked a case? Girl next door, what sweet action will you take next? Trailer trash, why is your drunk uncle yelling at you? It could be anything. Use your imagination. The deeper the detail, the more compelling the story will be and the camera will capture it.
- Finally, do you have an acting clip for each type? Once you have the headshot, you need the clip to match so your agent has the materials they need to pitch you to casting.
